The Division of Resources and Energy (DRE) is currently reviewing the existing community consultation guidelines and reporting information.
A draft Exploration Code of Practice: Community Consultation [752 KB PDF] has been prepared to provide detailed requirements and guidelines to assist title holders in the fulfilment of their community consultation obligations.
The draft Code will apply to all titles (coal, minerals and petroleum) issued after the date of publication of the Code and where an amended condition is applied to the title.
